Suri Alpaca is light-weight, silky-soft, lustrous, and folds up like a table cloth!

Suri Alpaca represents about 10% of all the alpaca fur produced. Unlike the more common Huacaya breed, Suri fur is composed of short, straight strands which lie flat in all directions. Lacking the fluff and bulk of Huacaya alpaca, it is lighter-weight and easily folded, making it an ideal bedspread. Suri can be used as a centerpiece rug, a bedspread, as well as under tables and chairs. Many people lay their Suri rugs on top of carpet, creating a multi-layered effect that is silky-soft and yielding (please note that all of our Suri rugs are made from baby alpaca, a superior breed!).They make unique and wonderful gifts too!
