Baby Alpaca Bedspreads - A Luxurious Accent for Your Home!

Luxurious alpaca bedspreads add a sense of beauty, style, & class to any home and décor. You will find little else to compare with alpaca fur from Peru. Ten times softer, stronger, warmer & lighter than any comparable fiber, alpaca fur has a luster & beauty that is unmatched! It is amazingly soft, luxurious, & comfortable. Another wonderful quality about alpaca is that it is naturally hypoallergenic and lanolin free. So feel free to get close!

Our alpaca bedspreads are lined with a soft cotton and are made from baby alpaca pelts specially-selected for fluffiness, softness, and lightness, thus admirably suited for bedspreads/comforters. The pillows are lined inside are backed with a fine jacquard material.

Our baby alpaca bedspreads are available in either the Suri or Huacaya breed of alpaca:

Huacaya: This is the most common type of alpaca. The fur is soft, slinky, and forms cloud shapes rather than separate hairs. The pile is 1-2 inches deep. All of the alpaca products we sell are Huacaya, unles otherwise noted.

Suri: This type of alpaca is composed of separate hairs that lie flat in all directions. The fur is silky and lustrous. Suri bedspreads are lighter and less bulky than the Huacaya, thus Suri is considered to be more similar to a traditional bedspread. To see examples of Suri alpaca, visit our Suri Alpaca rugs page.

Sizes
The 70in x 80in (180cm x 210cm) Mattress Topper is our standard bedspread size (all other sizes are custom sizes). The 70in x 80in size is large enough to cover the top of a Queen size mattress, with a few inches extra on the sides. If different coverage is desired, please measure your bed to get the proper size. See the above pictures for examples of coverage choices.

Please Note: Most mattresses come in standard sizes, but there are variations, especially in thickness. Please measure your mattress and bed frame top and sides if needed, before ordering. You are responsible for ensuring you get the coverage you want.

Matching Pillows can also be ordered for each bedspread type and color. Our standard pillows are rectangular 24in x 32in, single-sided fur with jacquard backing. They can however, be customized to be double-sided, and made in all shapes and sizes, including square, round and even tubular.
